Editorial policy

Privet publishes general information to help people understand private, bridging, construction and commercial property finance in Australia. This page explains how that information is produced, checked and kept current.

What we publish

Guides, glossary entries, calculators and data pages. Everything is general information. None of it takes your objectives, finances or needs into account, and none of it is credit, financial, legal or tax advice.

How content is made

Research. Figures, rates, thresholds and legal rules come from Australian government sources only. Each one is shown with its source and date at the bottom of the page.

Drafting. We use software, including AI tools, to help draft some material. These tools may only use figures from our verified government data. Drafts are never published automatically.

Fact-check. Every figure and link is checked against its source before publication.

Review. A person reviews every finance article before it goes live. Where a named author or reviewer is listed, their details appear on the page and in the review log at the end of the article.

Review log. Each article records its versions, review dates and what changed.

What we do not do

We do not rank, rate or endorse lenders, brokers or products. We do not publish interest rates quoted by lenders or brokers. We do not accept payment to change what we say, to feature a provider in an article, or to alter a figure. We do not offer investments or refer people to investment funds.

Keeping content current

Every page shows when it was last reviewed. We monitor our government sources automatically. When a source changes, the affected figures are held back until a person has checked them, and the page's change history records the update.

Corrections

If you think something is wrong, email enquiries@privet.com.au. We correct confirmed errors promptly, note the change on the page and record it in our public corrections log.
