About Privet
Conflicts of interest
A conflict of interest arises when a commercial or personal interest could influence what we publish. This page sets out how we manage them.
Our policy
Content is separate from referrals. Because Privet may receive referral fees, we keep that relationship separate from our content. No finance provider reviews, approves or influences our articles, calculators or figures before publication.
No paid placement. We do not sell positions, features or mentions. We do not rank, rate or endorse providers.
Same information for everyone. Our figures come from government sources and are the same for every reader, whether or not they send an enquiry.
Interests are disclosed. If a named author or reviewer has a financial interest in a product or provider discussed on a page, that interest is disclosed on the page, or the person does not work on it.
Referral decisions are yours. We only share your enquiry with providers after your separate consent, and you decide whether to proceed.
Reporting a concern
If you think a page has been influenced by a commercial interest, email enquiries@privet.com.au. We will review the page, record the outcome in our corrections log and fix any problem found.
